WASH AND CARE

All products are pretreated carefully and we use the strongest plant sources for color.  However, a little care goes a long way and increases the life of the garment.

Instructions for clothing and textiles

1. Wash your clothing in cold water.
2. Handwash is advised but a delicate wash cycle in the laundry machine works perfectly. 
3. Always use a gentle detergent (a pH neutral one to say). It helps preserve the color.
4. Airdry your clothing in shade. Direct sunlight is the enemy of natural dyes.
5. Excessive ironing is not recommended. To iron, put your iron on the wool setting and move the iron around a lot so that it is never sitting in one place for too long. 
6. Avoid direct contact with perfumes and makeup products.

Instructions for natural dye powders and other supplies

1. Store dye powders and extracts in airtight containers to prevent exposure to moisture.
2. Keep dye containers in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight.
3. Regularly inspect stored dye materials for any signs of contamination.
